Out of love for God, our Christian school follows the example Christ set before us when He served others with compassion. Community service opportunities allow SFCS students to follow this example and to give back to the San Francisco community. Though serving others is encouraged in all grades, our Christian high school students are required to receive a minimum of 15 community service hours per school year for a total of 60 hours. All students who earn 100 community service hours or more will be honored with a Silver Service Award at senior graduation for their achievement.
Ivy League school admissions directors will tell you that not all community service opportunities are created equal. Opportunities that work for one student may not be ideal for another. Any student seeking advice on how to choose the best opportunities, should schedule an appointment with our college advisor. Our community service program is one of the things that makes us one of the best private high schools in San Francisco, CA. To learn more about our community service program, contact SFCS today.
