*After Early Admission, priority is given to those who apply by March 7. After March 7, please call the Admissions Office to verify space availability.

Your completed application and all other necessary forms should be turned in to the Admissions Office in person, by email ([email protected]), or by fax (415-841-0833).

School tours are given Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. by appointment only.

Please keep in mind there is a separate admissions process for international students.

5 Steps of the admissions process

Step 1 - Application

Please submit the following items to the Admissions Office ([email protected]):

1. The Student Application

2. Birth Certificate

3. Immunization Record

4. The non-refundable Application Fee of $150.00 ($100.00 during Early Admission)

5. Recent Report Cards (from current and previous school year)

(High school transfer students must submit a complete transcript)

6. Most recent Standardized Test Scores from current school (CAASPP,

SBAC, etc.)

7. Student Short Answer Essay Form (6th–12th grades only)

Teacher and principal/counselor recommendation forms are requested from the student’s current school directly by SFCS for students applying to 6th–12th grades.

A child enrolling in kindergarten beginnings must be four years old by December 1.*

A child enrolling in kindergarten must be five years old by December 1.*

Step 2 - Screening

When Step 1 is completed, all students applying for grades 1–12 will take an in-person screening test. The test will last about one hour, and your child is tested on Math and Reading proficiency. Test results are received 24-48 hours after and will be shared and discussed during the student interview.

Step 3 - Interview

WhenStep 1 and Step 2 are completed, you will be contacted to set up an in-person student interview with the SFCS Administration. Interviews take approximately 45 minutes. At least one parent is required to attend with the student.

Step 4 - Acceptance

Following the interview, the SFCS Administration will make a decision. If accepted, an official Acceptance Letter will be mailed to the student. The student can expect to receive an admissions decision following the interview.

Step 5 - Enrollment

Upon student acceptance, parents will be emailed enrollment instructions. A non-refundable $300 Enrollment fee (increased to $400 after 2 weeks of acceptance) will be due during enrollment. If a student has been accepted to a waitlisted class, parents will not be able to enroll until space becomes available.
